Dr. Fadra Whyte received her undergraduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh and her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at University of Pennsylvania. She then completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She completed her Master in Public Health with a dental emphasis at A.T. Still University. After practicing in New York City and New Jersey for a few years she and her husband made the big leap to San Diego where she has lived for the past several years. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is an advisory board member for the Anderson Center on Oral Health at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego. She is also a Pediatric Dental Attending with the NYU Langone Hospital Pediatric Dental Residency Program affiliated with San Ysidro Health and Rady Children’s Hospital and is a member of the medical staff at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego.
Her work interest includes medical-dental integration, minimally invasive dentistry, dental caries and obesity, and increasing access to care to our most vulnerable populations. Most importantly, Dr. Whyte wants to ensure that every child has great dental visits that will result in a lifetime of love for going to the dentist!
Outside of work Dr. Whyte enjoys traveling with her family and spending time at the beach. She has two little girls, a loving husband, a dog named Sparkle, and a sometimes not so nice cat named Parody.
