Dear Families,
We know that the last few months have been a time of great stress and concern for all of you and would like to thank you for your patience with the appointments that had to be cancelled.
The San Diego County Department of Health and Human Services has given us the green light to open our practices and we are moving forward with implementing necessary additional protocols, in addition to our existing high standards of infection control, for the safety of our patients.
As we plan to reopen the office, we want to emphasize that we are ready to care for you and keep you and our staff safe. We have always practiced strict decontamination procedures that eliminate HIV, Hepatitis, and COVID-19 in addition to other viruses and germs. Rest assured knowing that we adhere to strict protocols set by the CDC, ADA, CDA, and the Dental Board of California. There are several additional room decontamination procedures that have been implemented to eliminate the transmission of COVID-19 to protect our patients.
There will be several changes that you will notice when you visit the office. Firstly on your arrival we will take your temperature. Secondly you will be asked several screening questions to assess the possibility of you or your child being ill or being exposed to others who are ill. We will reschedule your appointment if either you or your child have a fever or appear to be ill.
We respectfully ask that you bring only the child that has an appointment for that day. We may ask that you wait in your car with your child until we notify you to come into the waiting area. We also ask that school age children, from the age of 5 years, come back with the staff member and that you remain in the waiting room. Of course exceptions will be made for children with special health care needs. We will require that each person wears a mask and practices social distancing by staying 6 feet from any other person in accordance with the San Diego County mandate.
Please remember, we truly enjoy caring for your children, and we are mindful of caring for our patients and staff too, and want to ensure that we take the necessary precautions for everyone’s safety.
You will receive a call, email, or text regarding your dental appointment and we will do our best to get you in as soon as possible within the limitations of the schedule.
Please call the office if you have a dental emergency, questions, or concerns and we will help you to the best of our ability.
We look forward to seeing you soon,
